Tonks still didn't look thrilled as her mother opted to call her Dora, but she knew the younger woman well enough to be able to tell that something was wrong, and it was bigger than her name. She frowned a hint more, gazing over to the dark haired Andromeda and studying her eyes just a hint deeper. "Mum... Are you alright? I...I'm sorry I didn't owl. I really should have. Hell, I don't even HAVE an owl yet, but I should have used one of the ministry's. I am sorry."
She was about to say more, but the genuine question of what was Bertram made Tonks blink. "Home, mum...Our home. Where I grew up. You..." Tonks went quiet, just a hint paler than she was a moment ago. "Oh god. Bloody hell...No one told you about it, did they? I'm a bloody idiot! Oh, mum, I'm so sorry. Our house is still around. Probably dusty as hell, but it's there!"
