Re: Kingsley + Tonks
Tonks had been mostly a shadow during the party. She didn't know many people and saw herself there as protection and security as much as she was a guest. Her position as an Auror was the only real place of belonging she had left these days, so she settled back into work almost immediately. It meant Kingsley didn't -exactly- sneak up on her, but she didn't jerk away either. She smiled a bit, letting him practice his "smooth moves" in sliding that champagne glass over to her and settling by her side. Her small hand came up, comfortably wrapping around the glass without drinking.
Apparently, they were thinking the same thing. But then, he did train her, so it was little surprise. She looked a bit more casual with the glass in hand and it helped both of them blend into the crowd as party goers, not ministry strong arms. Her eyes flickered down to the glass at his words and she shook her head, "No, no, I'm fine. But thanks, Kingsley. Was hoping to see you around the office this week but I guess I kept missing you. I was worried..." Worried she hadn't been the only one who died. Worried he hadn't been so lucky to come back. Just worried in general, so she didn't quite have a way to finish that statement.
"Ah...never mind. It's good to see you." She finished about as smoothly as anything Nymphadora Tonks did, which was generally tripping over her own damn two feet.
