Lily reminded herself that Regulus was there as their guest, and Remus' subtle gesture would have been evidence of that even if she'd forgotten. "Right, please come into the dining room, have a seat. Dinner is ready as soon as we are."
To Remus, she smiled and wrapped her hand around James' as they all headed into the dining room. "No sense in sitting back and waiting for things to happen," she said lightly, because this was supposed to be a fun evening and she was going to see to it that everyone enjoyed themselves if it killed her.
She headed into the kitchen and was back shortly with flutes for the champagne, glad that she'd splurged on finer glassware than she or James would need on a daily basis. At least now they'd have something with which to properly enjoy the Champagne. "I hope everyone likes chicken." She knew it was a simple meal, her stomach hadn't felt up to fish, and the thought of red meat made her want to vomit. So chicken it was, because that's what had been available at the local butcher.
