Remus raised an eyebrow, trying to determine if his friend was being sarcastic in response to Regulus' remarks or not. But he just shook his head. It was best if Prongs' let it slide in any case. At least the evening wouldn't start on an argument, even if Remus wouldn't swear there wouldn't be one given the people involved.
"That's because you live your life on fast forward, Prongs." He chuckled softly, brushing his hand surreptitiously against Regulus' as he shifted his weight, quiet 'thank you' and non-verbal apology for his lover's presence here all at once. "A week is an age to you and it's been more than two since I saw you at the school. However, you might want to invite us to sit down if you want to hear what news there might be. Otherwise, I will be forced to believe you don't really want us to share dinner but have merely conned us into coming within range of your dubious wit," he ended with a tiny smirk.
