RP: Nymphadora Tonks, James Potter
Who: Nymphadora Tonks, James Potter, anyone else who can duck in on someone's return from the dead.
Where: Quidditch Fields at Hogwarts
When: Evening, November 2, 2052
Summary: Tonks returns to life on the open Quidditch field! Lucky, there's no practice that late at night. Unluckily, she died outside too. Tension ensues.
The last thing she knew was the jerk of a wand in her direction, the utterance of that curse and the split of a thought -- I can't dodge that fast... But, she was still instinctively dodging. Her wand out and lofted, ready to jerk in Greyback's direction to reinforce her shield, Tonks reappeared mid-battle with no one and nothing else around her. She gave a bit of a surprised yelp, tumbling to the side and into the wet grass as her body completed it's last motion of a dodge. Adrenaline still thrummed through her veins, ready for the next attack, but nothing was coming. No one was there.
It was quiet. Too, too quiet. The pink haired woman sat there on the ground, chest quickly expanding and contracting with each adrenaline ragged breath. She jerked her wand before her and behind, looking for unseen enemies. No one. Had someone apparated her away? No, she didn't think so. Rocks sunk deeper in her stomach as she allowed pale eyes to truly take in her entire surroundings. Hogwarts. The Quidditch Field. She recognized this place. How had she...?
Oh no. No no. Her mind knew it before her heart could acknowledge. She died again. She had died and come back -- again. Tonks tried to swallow her heart back down her throat as she slowly picked herself up off the November dampened grass, her knees suddenly weak. She allowed her wand to drop, carefully re-pocketing it and raising her hands into the air in a gesture of innocence. She knew what came next. She remembered all the training. She stood there and waited, letting her breath and heart take the time to calm.
