"Thanks for the geography lesson Mum," Hugo said cheekily, picking up a crisp and eating it whole. "I'll still be grateful I don't have to go there. I'm not cut out for cold weather."
He leaned into his mother for a moment, and then wrinkled his nose as his parents started getting cozy. There were just some things a son didn't need to see about his parents. "I hope so. Theory has never been my strong suit." It wasn't that he sucked at it or anything, he'd just rather be doing something.
Laughing, he finished the sandwich but stayed at the table. "I don't think I'm that far gone yet, Mum, but you'll be the first to know if it comes to that."
