RP: Andromeda
Who: Andromeda
When: afternoon, 31 October 2025
Where: Andromeda's bedroom, Nott Estate
Summary: Andromeda contemplates.
The headache Andromeda had developed on the evening of the twenty-ninth had not dissipated as previously hoped. No, instead it intensified until all she could do was lie in bed in the dark, trying to hold down some water. She had dismissed away the house elf, preferring to be alone as she slept in fits underneath the blankets.
Somewhere in the early afternoon of the second day, Andromeda could not be quite sure as she had the shades drawn and could not summon the energy to cast a Tempus, the pain finally receded, though her whole body ached. A shower helped, though Andromeda still felt as weak as a wet kitten by the time she was done. A quick call for a house elf had a pot of tea and bowl of soup brought to her. While Andromeda could stomach the sweetness of the tea, sans milk, the soup put her off. Laying her meager meal aside for the moment, the young woman curled up in the chair nearest the fire and let herself relax, enjoying its warmth.
As fire danced behind her eyes, with the occasional snap and pop breaking the blessed silence, Andromeda's thoughts turned inward. She was not the same girl she was just a few months before, even less like the girl that had left her bedroom only to end up in Hogwarts. Blast it all. What happened to wanting a simple life? A normal one? Why must she be held accountable for a fight she had no real interest in fighting.
Those thoughts angered her.
Turning her head to face the fire, Andromeda let out a breath and her anger. It would do no use here. No, for now she would just let her body recover as she soaked up the heat.
Tomorrow would be another day.
