She moved so she was sitting up against the pillows, and laced their hands together. "You don't want to stay here, right?" She realized she hadn't actually asked him what he wanted to do, and felt a pang of guilt. Some not-wife she was. "We can, if you like it here." She'd be happy wherever James was.
Moving again, this time so she was curled up against him, head resting on his shoulder, she sighed. "I'm talking to Marlene tomorrow. About the baby. I know we haven't told anyone else yet, but I sort of need to let her know. Are you okay with that? We can tell the others in a couple weeks." She bit her lip, forcing out the worries that plagued her.
"I just...I want to make sure it's safe. The Healers thought there might still be some risk, because of all the hexes." She tried not to think about that, making sure to stay rested and take things slowly, but there was still a chance she'd lose the baby.
