Summary: Jamie has some news that Severus and Alastor won't like.

Dear Alastor and Severus,

I've been in contact with several magazines, and I've arranged for an exclusive with Witch Weekly. There will be a portrait on each of us, a joint interview and pictures. We get to review the text prior to printing and pictures can be retouched to cover any defect.

The magazine is currently not running, but they want us to be on the cover of the first issue. I've also arranged for remuneration in the amount of 4000 galleons per person. We probably could have gotten more but it doesn't go well with the Saviors of the world image they want. They are hoping to do it this weekend and be out by Tuesday. Let me know if timing is a problem. Also, expect questions on your private lives. Yelling is not an answer. If you need me to come up with generic answers to use during the interview, that's fine too.

I've always been evil, I just hide it behind a smile and a joke. I'd think you'd caught on by now.

Liar. You'd do it all over again if there was a need. It's why Albus picked you.

Considering that of the three, you are the only 'single' one as far as they know, I would expect plenty of questions. They'll want to know if you're straight or gay, if you're single or involved. If you choose to tell them that you aren't single, then you can expect questions about the identity of the person.

From personal experience, if you tell them you are serious about someone, you either give them a name or they'll stalk you. If you aren't ready to make it public, then it's just easier that you're not serious about anyone and the past few months and current work wasn't conducive to long term, stable relationships.

I wouldn't have her anywhere near that interview. The same goes for Sirius and Al. They want something for the families, then I'd get someone else to do it, someone more interested in the families and less in the politics, although I think this should be enough for the moment. I'll make sure to arrange for some more 'scoops' in the future. Sirius and I can take care of a few of those, though. Of course, expect reporters today at the funeral. Some always show up.

I'll rephrase. I thought I'd have more than a week before you switched sides and turned on your former allies, inflicting such punishments upon us for our good deeds.

As for Albus, believe me, this won't be the first time I say the castle better not spit that meddling old wizard back out or I'll have a few choice words for him and his ideas.

I don't suppose I can get away with growling and hexing until they stop asking about my private life? No, don't answer. I don't like these things, but I've been around enough to observe. And you people wonder why I cultivate the image I do.

Fine, I'll have to talk to Marlene about all of this before I decide whether they get even that much of my personal life.

The funeral, I assumed. Unfortunately, that is not something I'm unfamiliar with.
