This was the first instance of Al venturing outside of the Infirmary since the battle. After his conversation with Severus, prior, Al wouldn't have left Severus to attend the funeral alone.
Funerals were important.
Of all the cemeteries he'd seen before, Al certainly didn't plan to end up in this particular one at the Nott Manor so soon. It was less than a year ago when he'd first made acquaintance with Nicholas and Helena Nott's stones - an odd couple with their ages thirty-five years apart, right over there, to the side of the path.
Charlotte Nott was also buried nearby. And now, her Dad will be too.
For that very moment, Al looked at Mrs. Nott, with her son and Andromeda, far in front, and didn't feel so distanced from them. So many relatives were laid to rest under the dated stones and so little of them was left standing.
