Belvina waved her concerns away with a gentle smile. "Nonsense, I didn't feel at all obligated and I am much improved. I should never have been kept in hospital for that long in the first place, not when I had a perfectly good home to recuperate in. It was a waste of medical resources."
She debated saying her next words. She hadn't spoken to Andromeda or Stephen and so did not know what their plans would be concerning their marriage but neither had seemed overly pleased about it, only pleased that they did not have to marry other - possibly insane - people. But Andromeda was Pansy's daughter-in-law and therefore should be a closer companion than she. These arranged marriages had really not helped Belvina with figuring out what was appropriate and what was not.
"If you would like some female company now and again at the manor, please let me know. I would be delighted to visit at any time," she said simply. "Or if you wish to go elsewhere, I would be happy to accompany you. Please know that."
