"They are." Cassandra nodded, smiling. "Some of the last of the season, most likely. It's getting too cold now for the old fashioned roses. At least for this year. I've been thinking of turning the smaller drawing room into a solar ever since Lilith and I talked about it when I saw her last." She wondered what had happened to that young woman in particular. Lilith had seemed so lost during their conversation. Hopefully, being at Hogwarts had given her the help she needed.
"No, no. It's not too much damage. But, with the full rainy season coming soon, I'd rather not move the animals until it's fixed. A couple of the hands who stayed behind and hid in the muggle world are already working on the repairs." She smiled reassurances. The repairs were more of an annoyance than anything. Grandfather proving once more he was uninterested in the Stables now. "Grandfather is...disappointed. He was not a part of things this time to my knowledge, but he was happy enough to see his old cronies returned. Father and Persephone are both well, however. Father will be home in another couple weeks, but my sister's opted to stay with our grandparents in France awhile longer. Grand-mere has taken her on as a sort of protege. I suspect she intends to leave the potions business in Persephone's hands eventually.
"Regulus had mentioned as much when I contacted him," she said with a nod. "Andromeda's daughter. I was in school with Nymphadora's son, Ted Lupin, although we were not well acquainted. He was a couple years ahead of me and in another house. I am sorry for the loss."
Chuckling, Cassandra raised an eyebrow at the assurance, but smiled. "Luck has little to do with it if you were that prepared, I think. Have they given you any idea when you may leave?"
