"Lily!" Remus' eyes widened as she described how she'd come to be injured. Personally, he'd call it a miracle if she was hit that many times and all of them missed vital organs. "You never did like to do things by halves," he added with a chuckle, then wincing at the pain that caused.
He had to start remembering that. Laughing hurt.
"He's just worried. James doesn't do helpless any better than I do." Remus still was of half a mind to make Regulus show him his own injury as soon as they got home, prove he really was healing. It was ridiculous, given how badly injured Remus was in comparison. But, it was Regulus and the Pre-Full anxiety was beginning and Remus hated to think his lover had been hurt in any way.
"I'll be fine. Bellatrix tried to turn me into a pin cushion. That's all. If she hadn't been tacky enough to use silver, I'd be better than you by now." It was as natural as breathing for Remus to downplay his own injuries. He'd never wanted to let others think he couldn't keep up because of his condition. He didn't even think about mentioning the complications from the Cruciatus or whatever that other hex had been that he'd been pushed into. "Regulus is actually off making arrangements so I can go home today. If I have to be in bed for days, I'd rather it was my own and he's more than capable of providing me the potions they've got me on."
