He admitted, "Although I must admit that even were I inclined to nicknames, I fear that with my luck the moment I create one that is suitable, my great-grandfather would return with words on the butchering of a fine family name." Caractacus snorted slightly, "The only nickname I have had is from my niece. As a small child, she could not pronounce my name and declared me 'Uncle Cactus'."
He wasn't certain why he was sharing that particular bit of trivia with Andromeda, but Caractacus felt a pang in his chest as he thought of his niece. Who was dead.
"That's because that train of thought clearly has no rationality or logic. People who think like that clearly need to read more in order to acquire those things."
