Charlie huffed out a slow sigh, he didn't know what to do here. Because he still felt like he was doing things wrong by Callum in some way, but he needed to do this even for just a few weeks to make things work. "Fixing things is what I do." He said lamely, but it was true. Charlie tried do to that every way he could - whether it was here at the castle with the dragons, or his family and all the ways they were broken, or this issue with the Ministry, or things with Callum. Charlie wanted to make things right.
"I - no, no this isn't really about the dragons." It wasn't really going well, but it was Charlie's attempt to actually have this conversation they'd been skirting around for a while now.
He shook his head. "You make it sound like I have a world of experience with this too, I'm so far out of my element with all of this I don't even know where to start." Which was why he was struggling to keep his feet under him now that it felt like he was doing something wrong. "I just ... I don't want to be a Department Head, when I think about what I want to do be doing - it's working with these dragons, and with you." He shrugged, he was pretty sure he sounded like an idiot right now, but he was willing to endure that for the moment.
