Callum was even more confused than before, because Charlie was talking about dragons, but not really, at least he didn't think so. "You don't have to fix anything, because there's nothing wrong." He turned his head to look at Charlie. "You haven't blown anything, Charlie. You're doing what you have to, but you don't have to. That's what I'm telling you. I don't really expect you to take care of things."
He leaned over and kissed him gently. "We aren't talking about the dragons, now, are we?" It was probably a good thing that for once they weren't naked, but it didn't make him want to have this discussion any more than when they were.
"I've never done this, Charlie. Even with Baron, I never got involved with his mother. I never got involved with anyone, but regardless of what we decide, you don't have to make things work out for us. We do it together. That's how we've been doing it from the start, and it's worked just fine until now."
