Charlie sighed, they could keep avoiding this forever it felt like, he could go on telling people this wasn't serious - that it was all just the joke it had started out as, but it felt less and less true every time he said it. "Look, I want to fix this." He said. "I want to make this right, and I want to do that with you if I haven't completely blown it all ready. We talked about a reserve of our own, and I know that was all just talk, but I can make that happen. Keep the dragons safe, and give us both something to do." He lifted his shoulders not really sure what he was trying to say. "I want this to have been more than just stress relief over the last four months."
"Can't help but worry about things here, it's what I do." He huffed out a short laugh without any real humor in it. "It's going to work out. I'll make this work." Charlie said as he sat beside Callum, and whether he was talking about finding a place for the dragons, or finding enough people to take care of things here, or whatever was going on between the pair of them Charlie couldn't say though maybe he meant all of it.
