"Thanks," Hugo said, and grinned. He liked this much better, just talking to his dad without trying to defend his actions or worry that he'd disappointed his parents. He hated feeling like that, and he couldn't shake the feeling that despite his best efforts, he had.
"A few days I think. They're worried about infection or something, I don't know. I thought potions could handle that, but maybe there's not enough." He sighed. "Can you fix it so Wren can come and visit? I know she's got to be so worried by now. I sent her a note, but it's not the same."
