"Since I've never been too far from you, I don't need biological evidence of the insanity you've thrown yourself into, and that's my way of saying to get some potions for your scars, or I'll get up and find them for you," she threatened.
Marlene knew the feeling all too well. It was how she'd felt on her arrival. "I know, baby. I get that, but I'm okay."
She knew Alastor too well to hope to change his mind. He'd done what asked of him, including leaving the division, because it had been the right thing to do. "I'd complain some more, but you are an honourable man and ... you wouldn't be you if you turned her down." She sighed. "We'll make it work and we'll save the world in a different way."
She chuckled when he mentioned Black, even if that hurt as hell. "Which one? Sirius or Regulus? Because either is pretty ridiculous, and who do I have to train as Head? Bloody people have no idea what they are doing." She closed her eyes again, but still smiling. "You can take another few weeks to save the world. I promise to wait without complaining too much. Besides, it's not like I can get up."
