He could not imagine growing up in a family of Gryffindors. It must have been...odd. When Al talked about Albus Dumbledore as a 'historical figure', Caractacus started a bit. To be certain, he had read the books, but...Dumbledore was a 30-year old rabblerouser, not a...historical figure. He frowned slightly, noticing the hitch in Al's voice at the mention of his father.
Harry Potter. Now there was a figure that was impossible to get any objective accounts of, "Maybe you are Ravenclaw because of who you are." Caractacus suggested softly, "I do not believe your name has anything to do with it."
"I understand," Caractacus nodded, "I...believe, from what I have read, that he would have been pleased to listen."
He smiled ruefully at Al's assessment of his family, "Well, yes, I agree that it was unfortunate. My parents don't wish for me to use my talents, that's not why I was born, in their view." Caractacus deliberated and then made a move.
