Lily opened her eyes, then grinned, looking from Remus to the bit of chocolate heaven he held in his hand for just a moment before turning back to her tray. She reached for the napkin and unrolled it, revealing a spoon and a fork.
"Share it with me?" She offered over the fork and, not bothering with a plate, put her hand under Remus's to steady it as she cut off a bite with the spoon.
It was heaven. Sweet and moist and as warm as if it had come from the oven, gooey and chocolate and perfect. "I missed cake with you," she mumbled, one hand over her mouth to prevent a spray of crumbs. Lily carved off another bite to follow the first.
