"I suppose most children do, wish their parents were around more." She was careful to say 'most' without necessarily including herself or Lucy in that group.
"Possibly and it's not my intent to be patronizing, but now that it has come to light you are learning how to recognize and deal with it." She would say that was a positive, learning, even about one's self always was.
"There is that." Hidden or not, she stil had some of the Weasley traits and was capable of recognizing and hopefully controlling them.
"Maybe not, but other than studies our generation hasn't had something of major import to ask for help about, not until recently." She didn't pretend to understand her cousin's illness but any self-recrimination seemed counter-productive to her mind. "I'd say self-sufficency isn't bad either, though, I suppose like most things, moderation is the key."
"Now I sound like I'm giving a lecture, don't I?" Lips quirked, she squeezed Rose's hand. "I don't mean too, but I'm afraid giving advice, especially unsolicited advice is fairly new to me. Maybe you could think of it this way, by learning from what you're going through you can recognize when someone else is having the same issues and assist them?"
"It will get better." She had no doubt, "in the meantime, feel free to speak your mind, about that, little brothers", Hugo was interesting and had his points, she just hoped he turned out more like his mother than father, "or whatever. One thing I'm very good at is keeping closed ranks, especially when it comes to family." Moreso immediate family than extended, but there was no need to say that.
