Charlie just shrugged smirk on his face. "Perhaps." Just enjoying the teasing, even if it was completely without merit in this case.
"No, they're not." Charlie agreed. "Thus the issue of sanity comes up again. Perhaps most people are too sane for the sort of family my parents created." He chuckled. He couldn't imagine what that must have been like for his parents, the idea of having children himself was something he'd never though much about - but the brief moments he did he was very glad he'd only ever been an uncle up to this point. "I bet he was, I don't know how you managed." It was one thing if you were married, you had a wife to help but to raise a child on your own on a reserve? That seemed more than a little insane to Charlie.
Charlie settled with Callum leaning against him, the warm weight of the other man there on his chest felt better than it probably should. "I haven't, never was much of an option being on the reserve as long as I was - and my siblings managed to get started pretty early so I got to be around kids without ever having any of my own."
