Callahan rolled his eyes. He wasn't trying to keep anything secret, but it was amazing how well the grapevine worked at the Ministry. "Coffee. I had coffee with the woman, mate, not proposed not to her. Probably to poor for her anyway," he added with a grin.
"Hear that? She calls us gentlemen. Must not know you, McLaggen," he said, laughing. "How about you bring us a pitcher of the dark beer, luv? I'm sure we'll have to switch soon enough because he's a light weight." He knew it wasn't true, but the teasing was light hearted and he knew McLaggen wouldn't mind. "Something to eat, too. Chips and fish should be fine unless McLaggen here wants something else."
