Re: Kat and Hermione
Farming certainly didn't seem nice, but Kat held her tongue. It would not be good to alienate the one in charge of jobs when one might need to seek her out looking for one later. "Thank you for the information," she said.
She couldn't help but to wonder why Ms Granger was so nice to her. She didn't know her, they weren't from the same house or class, and she had nothing to gain from it. She wasn't used to people being nice for no reason. Usually people always wanted something in return, at least strangers. "I did everything wrong," she answered, and she wasn't even sure why she said it. It was so horribly wrong, and she knew better than to admit her weaknesses, but something in the situation made her say more than she was supposed to.
"I should have run before the wedding, I should have realised just how bad it was going to be." She looked at the woman, realising now that this was Lilith's aunt. "Lilith tried to warn me," she said, thinking she would probably appreciate the information. "I thought I understood what she meant. I certainly knew it would be bad, but I didn't realise just how much so," She'd been a fool. She'd put her family ahead of herself when they had done nothing to help her. It had been a mistake and one she wouldn't repeat again.
She clung to those last words, hoping they meant what they implied. Of course those types of potions were not talked about, they were not offered at St Mungo's. She shook her head. Surely she wouldn't need them anyway, it was just a few weeks. A few weeks off her potion, but still, who got pregnant in a few weeks? It was ridiculous. They'd cast their spells, tell her she was healthy, hopefully be able to supply her with a pain potion and she'd feel better at once. She just wouldn't have it any other way. "That is a comforting thought," she said all the same, because she couldn't deny that it was.
