Katherine's mind had been spinning since the dinner with Cassandra and Lex. She was still not able to leave, the elf was to the best of her knowledge still watching her and she had not shown a sign of her thoughts. Instead she'd just enjoyed the fact that Walden was out the previous night, and wished that would happen more often.
When Rabastan Lestrange arrived, she was surprised, because while Walden seemed to be expecting him, he'd told her nothing of it. Was this another test? A set up she was meant to fail so that he could have more reasons for his perversions? With the useless excuse for an elf he'd arranged, how was she supposed to effortlessly arrange for dinner for a surprise guest?
She smiled though, forcing herself not to shudder as Rabastan kissed her hand, trying to focus on the fact that he seemed to know how to behave rather than on the fact that last she'd seen him he'd raped someone. She didn't like the way he looked at her, or the way he stressed his words, but she didn't let it show, just inclined her head politely. "The pleasure is all mine," she lied. "It's an honour to have the Head of the MLE as a guest. Could I offer you something to drink?" Now if she only had poison to add to the drink...
