Lilith couldn't help smiling, looking over at Cassandra. "My mother always knew where I hid, too. And when she came looking for me, she had biscuits and cold pumpkin juice." She wrapped her hands around the teacup, taking another sip, unaware of just how young the movement made her look.
"I loved the greenhouses at school," Lilith said with a nod. "Roses all year round would be so nice. And if it was yours, you could hide among them whenever you liked, winter or no." It did sound like an amazing thing to have.
She nibbled at another cake, then set it onto the plate with a sigh. She hated trying to talk about the Ministry, and politics. Mostly because she truly didn't understand them. Didn't have an opinion on some things, and those were the things she let Rabastan guide her on. Truth told, she let him guide her on most things, even if her opinion differed, because what she thought wasn't important...
"It's got rather an important sound, doesn't it? It really boils down to me telling the papers what they're allowed to say. In my own words, if I have to." She fell back on quoting what she'd been told. "People are like sheep, they'll do what you say, believe what you tell them, if they believe it's in their best interests. I've just got to convince them that it is..." She let her cup rest on her belly to hid the shaking of her hand, then met Cassandra's gaze with a faint smile. "I do. Talk to a lot of them. I was looking forward to Katherine's interview."
