"Enough." Ted gripped his wife's hand. He had been too lost in thought in regards to the conversation he had with Andromeda to really notice what was going on in front of him. When his father spoke, however, he knew he had let the situation get out of hand.
"I'm sorry, it was my fault. I had been the one who had wanted to come." He shook his head. He had only wanted to talk to his grandmother and instead of owling like he should have he went about it all wrong. And now he was creating contention where there ought to be none.
He pulled Victoire to her feet, hoping that he would be able to get the both of them out of there without any other insults flung. "Thank you for your hospitality, Mr. and Mrs. Malfoy," he nodded to their hosts who had remained silent for the majority of the exchange. "Father. Regulus." Ted nodded to each man in turn before guiding his wife to the door.
They could exchange their thoughts safely in their rooms without worry of offending others.
