Belvina had sensed the tension rising but had avoided conversation, instead concentrating on the delicious desserts. Chocolate was a key ingredient in any dessert and she ate everything on her plate with relish, truly enjoying every mouthful.
"It truly was delicious," she told Astoria, smiling. The woman deserved praise, especially for throwing an impromptu dinner party so soon after having children and with limited resources and space. "I particularly enjoyed dessert."
At Regulus' words, she looked over and smirked slightly.
"A woman's pedigree is something she cannot change. Manners one can and should learn, however," she drawled, not needing to look at Victoire to get her point across.
