Just like that, with a few words, Lex knew that he might have another person that he could count on in his personal war against this regime. It wasn't a war done by Gryffindors with wands and public stands, but it was a war nonetheless.
"Here, let me help you," Lex offered, taking the cup and saucer and resting it on the table. "We could probably go, make sure you get some rest."
He turned to the 'happy' couple. "Thank you for the lovely dinner and company." Just as pleasant as most of the company at the Ministry, he thought but didn't say. "Now, if you forgive us, it's best that Cassandra lies down. Women are not as strong, you understand," he added for Macnair, because the man probably believed such stupidity. "Cassandra, shall we?"
