"Yes," Charlie agreed. "Up to now you have done a very good job of tackling everything we've thrown at you, just like everyone else down here." He reminded Scorpius lest he forget he wasn't the only one who was actually doing his job the way they were supposed to. "But this recent action, puts me in a bind and I'm going to have to worry about you and your ability to do the work we ask of you, when you're so obviously worried about this boyfriend of yours. It's one thing to suck it up and it's quite another to complain first to Jamie, without so much as a word to Callum or I about your feelings on the matter, and then tell me you're forgetting why you're working down here. All of that tells me your state of mind isn't where it should be for you to be working down here." Charlie had given Scorpius plenty of opportunities to make this decision on his own, and made it quite clear that there was no shame in it but he was just as stubborn as his brothers had always made the Malfoys seem.
"It's obvious you have a lot of issues you need to work out, and down here around the dragons is not the place for self realization and family issues. I don't need you getting yourself killed to prove a point. So you stick around two more days, and I'll let Jamie know we're going to need some extra hands sooner rather than later and then you can go see that boy of yours as often as you like."
