She didn't believe him when he said it would be all right, but she'd needed to hear it. She thought he did as well, and together they could get through this. "I know," she whispered, even though she didn't. She didn't know anything right now.
"I just want to close my eyes and pretend it never happened," she admitted, feeling weak for wanting to hide from reality. "That's not going to help though, I know that." She took a deep breath, and let it out, trying to relax.
