"I would, actually, I need some new robes as well. I've grown some this summer." His current robes were about two inches too short at the hem and in the arms, but no one had said anything, and it wasn't anything a few stretching charms or some transfiguration couldn't fix, if he cared enough to do it.
"I've had a lot of time to think over the past couple months. Things that seemed important two months ago just...don't seem as important anymore." He shrugged, because there wasn't anything she could say to change that, things were what they were. "It's just easier to think things through with my hands in the dirt, since I can't fly as much as I'd like."
He smiled back, because he knew that all his parents wanted was for him to be happy. "I'll miss you guys too, but I won't be gone any more than I am when this is a real school," he said, with a shrug. "And I promise, I'm going to make the decision that's best for me." He studied her for a minute, and then made a guess.
"But this isn't all about you and Dad. You're worried about something else. What is it?" Because this was his mother, and he wanted to help her if he could, even if it was just easing her mind about something.
