Re: After dinner - Kat and Cassandra
Cassandra thought Kat needed to be more pragmatic about this. She was as family-oriented as they came. She'd sent her sister and father to safety as soon as it became apparent it was necessary. But, there came a time when self-preservation was more prudent.
If it wasn't, she'd have already made a scene about a lady of Belvina's rank being dragged off. But, when one of those dragging the woman off was the Head of the Magical Law Enforcement and the other was the most feared werewolf of the last century, Cassandra was smart enough to realise she'd only end up getting herself brutalised alongside Belvina and nothing would be accomplished.
"If he lives for another fifty years..." Kat wouldn't likely see all fifty, she thought. But, she didn't say it. "Well, then you'll have plenty of time to think of another strategy. But, if you're insistent on not getting pregnant and he wants children badly, for Morgana's sake, be careful about that potion and not letting him find out."
The repercussions of that would be just as lifelong as having a child, Cassandra suspected. 'Lifelong' would just have a shorter definition.
