Re: Bill and Remus
Remus watched Bill approach and offered his friend a sad smile. This was the sort of day that had grown too familiar for all of them and Remus had no intentions of bringing up the unpleasantness from the wedding. That could wait until they had buried their dead.
"Thank you, Bill." Remus wasn't expecting that anyone would remember his friendship with Harry in the face of all the other, more direct connections amoung the mourners there. That Bill, who had lost so much, took the time to say something to him, it meant something. "I'm sorry sorry doesn't seem quite enough in return. Louis and Ginny. You know where to find me if you need a friend, either to talk or distract. I mean that."
The apology took Remus by surprise, given he'd assumed that would have been the farthest thing from Bill's mind that day. "I appreciate that." It wasn't really Bill who needed to apologise. But it was nice to know his friend had not condoned the insults his daughter had directed at Remus' family. "For what it's worth, I didn't mean for that to happen. But, I couldn't stay quiet when it involved Regulus and our family."
