Bill and Remus
He watched Dom go with trepidation, an irrational desire to keep a hold on her and keep her safe filling him. He knew he couldn't control her life and keep her from any and all harm, just like he couldn't with Victoire. He wished he could. He wished he could have had with Louis, but he needed to let his kids live, and hope they stayed alive.
Looking for something to do other than break down, he pondered going back to the lab. He wanted out of here, away from the emptiness and pain that threatened to consume him, but as he spotted Remus he knew there was one thing he could focus on instead. One thing he should, and would, have done sooner if not all hell had broken lose.
"Hi," he said as he approached, looking as much at the crowd as the other man. When he settled for Remus he at first hesitated before he went on. "I know you and Harry were close, I'm sorry," he said and just speaking those words made him ache, but he pushed that away. He couldn't think about how much he was hurting just now.
"But what I want is to apologise," he added, pushing the pain away. "Victoire was out of line at the wedding, and while she might not understand it, I do, so would her mother have," he said. "If I had been less shocked I would have said something before you left."
