Charlie/Callum
Charlie had not been looking forward to the memorial service, but he needed to go to it - this wasn't just one for the Minister who had been killed, or for families he didn't know - this was his family, his sister, his nephew, his brother-in-law. And he needed to be there for the rest of them as well. The camp was in good hands he knew, the kids had come a long way since the start of this and it helped that the dragons weren't eager to be out and flying as often with the weather.
He was glad to have Callum there with him, Charlie wasn't quite the wreck he'd been that first day when he'd learned what had happened, but after talking with Bill, realizing he didn't have the slightest clue about what to say to his family? Well Charlie was glad to have him there, if only to know there was one person he could talk to easily if need be.
"These never get any easier." Charlie murmured after Jamie had finished with the words - it didn't matter how many of them had happened, how many they lost each one hurt just as much as the ones before it, in places Charlie had thought he'd lost the ability to feel.
