"I think I'll pass on that," he said, just barely keeping from shuddering. Goldstein and Dawlish were all right Keepers, and he had to admit Ben had some form of talent on a piano, but neither were the type he saw himself friends with outside the reserve. He might hex them and hexing was never a way to keep a friend for very long.
"That's one of the downfalls with no women on a reserve. There are no women on a reserve," he said, chuckling a little. "People seem to make do though, if they want to. Can't say as I've ever had the urge, especially considering I was married and faithful to my wife until I came here, but others always found ways."
He shrugged, and finished off his lunch as well. He was looking forward to some down time before he took a nap to get ready for the night shift. But he didn't mind spending that time talking to Pucey. "The first I heard of Haven was last night, when Uncle Al told me about it. I didn't even know there was a club inside the castle, though I'd like to see it sometime."
