"Sleep. Hm. I might have heard that word once, long ago. I think it was during a study of mythology and other things we talk about with little physical evidence of their existence." Alastor waved them both toward the sofa while he took the nearest chair, setting the food they'd picked up on the way to float on trays nearby. "I've slept in snatches of two or three hours here and there. Once we get settled again, I can catch up."
He was beginning to curse Potter's name every time a new detail came to light that needed to be changed or countered or accounted for in case the enemy now knew it. But, overall, "Things have run smoother this time than when we first got here. With the Full Moon over and the move nearly complete, we just need to get past the memorials and then I hope things will settle down. At least for a few days."
He wasn't hoping for more than that.
"I don't imagine things are much more calm at the camp right now? I'd have understood if you two needed to stay and reschedule." He was actually glad they hadn't. But, he would have understood.
