Bill nodded, wanting to see his son while he dreaded it at the same time. He'd never been one to cave to fear, however, and wouldn't start now. He needed to be there for his son, even if it was far too late.
He stopped and stared at Charlie when he went on, swearing under his breath. "I should have known. When he wasn't in the room with Ginny. He wouldn't have left her side for any other reason."
He closed his eyes, shaking his head. Gods, they were both dead. "At least Gin doesn't have to be alone in whatever comes after this," he said, though it was an odd comfort to have. Maybe they'd keep Fleur company too. Maybe they were all somewhere, waiting for them. He wasn't sure he believed, but he wanted to. It made things easier if he could.
