Charlie let Bill cry, he couldn't even imagine the pain his brother was feeling now - it was one thing to lose their sister, and quite another to lose a son. It was a pain Charlie was glad at the moment that he would never know for himself, he didn't think he'd be able to bear it if watching Bill was anything to go by.
"I'm sorry." Charlie said finally, he was still touching Bill, letting the weight of his hand press against his brother's back and he wished there was something more he could have done. "Gods, I'm sorry Bill." He wished there was something more he could say. But just like with Callum words were just as useless here as they had been down in camp, maybe even more so here with his brother.
