No one had many belongings at the camp, Charlie included, and it didn't take long for him to gather up everything that had belonged to his nephew. It was a horrible feeling, seeing how much of a person's life could be packed away so efficiently. He didn't let himself think on it too much as he made his way up to the castle though.
Charlie stopped first to see Ginny when he was told where she was, and he spent several long minutes with his sister, holding her hand in his and brushing her hair away from her face. Nothing was ever going to make this right, he knew and he hated there was nothing more he could do for her. "Take care, Gin." He murmured the words quietly so no one would hear and pressed a kiss to her forehead before he left.
And then he went to find his brother. Ron had Hermione for this, and George had Fred, but Bill - Bill was alone, and not only had his sister been killed but his son as well. And Charlie would never leave him alone to deal with something like this by himself.
He knocked at his door first, if Bill was elsewhere Charlie would see if he could get a house elf to help him find his brother - but his rooms were as good a place to start as any. He knocked and after a moment heard his brother's voice within, and Charlie opened the door to find Bill sitting on his sofa, looking like he hadn't moved in ages. "Hey." He set the bundle of things down on a table and went to sit by his brother, putting an arm around his shoulders and squeezing tightly.
