"I agree, there's no escape from the dungeons if we get pinned down there. And, if push comes to shove, the werewolves will just have to spend the transformations in their rooms and people will have to live with werewolves in the castle." Alastor pinched the bridge of his nose between his fingers, the logistics giving him a headache already and they were just getting started.
"We should also think about what they'll expect us to do," Alastor pointed out. "They may be insane, but they'll have to consider that we'll take such precautions as changing quarters and patrols.
"There is a third option. We move everyone to one wing or section of the castle. Take up all floors. Pick an area near one of the courtyards and let the werewolves have access to it if they want. Otherwise, they can transform in their rooms and the rest of the populace can deal with having them inside the castle. Make sure any tunnels are sealed near that area. Pick an area near a tower and put the research labs in there -- potions, Bill's team, the security office at the entrance as extra guard to get up to those areas." He glanced at Severus. "Yes, I know it means uprooting, but the research is not something we should let them know where it's housed.
"Then we seal off access to the other wings/areas, keep only enough of a patrol there to ward against threats."
