James followed Sirius through the corridor and then into the room. It was a classroom, but James wasn't paying attention to which one. "Can you transfigure a desk?"
He waited until a desk was turned into a bed and then lay her down. "I'm going to be right back. I just need to find Dad and Al, and I'll be back with them. I promise, Mum." He leaned down and kissed her forehead. "I'm sorry," he whispered, before straightened up.
Going to Sirius, he hugged him tightly, trying to regain his composure, trying to stop the tears, and only when he could speak again, he stepped back. "We should go. I don't want to leave her for too long." Not here, all alone. He had to go and find other people.
