"I'll play you some time." Caradoc offered with a grin, now chess was a game he could appreciate - he liked the strategy involved in it, and he'd be happy to play Margot at some point he thought.
"So I've heard." He shook his head, but not everyone was cut out for this sort of thing - he knew that, and it was supposed to be why things like the Aurors and Hit Wizards were optional, for those who could pass training. But then again this was war and you didn't exactly get an option of participating or not when the enemy was just as likely to kill a child as one of your best trained men. "Everyone deals with their stress differently - though how they manage it is a good indication of whether or not we ought to be trusting them to fight with us." He shrugged.
"Maybe I am." Caradoc chuckled. "I would make a very good mercenary." He grinned at her, "You ought to tell your supposed dragon keepers that I can help them out the next time you're down there." He teased her chuckling.
Caradoc nodded, whether he liked being cooped up in the castle or not, Caradoc understood the hierarchy of things, and he knew how to follow the chain of command. And if they told him to run security rounds then that is what he would do - it wouldn't stop him from wanting things to be different though. "I'm sure I could find something to entertain myself with if I were stuck here forever." He chuckled.
