Re: High Table
It had been impossible to miss his lover's exit, of course. And for a moment it had baffled Remus. For all Regulus disliked the Potters and Weasleys, he couldn't imagine the other man coming to the wedding, Remus' son's wedding, to walk out like that. Regulus wouldn't plan something like that; he wouldn't do that to Remus. So, there had to be another reason.
It took a moment, but Remus finally saw it, the direction Regulus had been looking when he froze just before leaving. Scorpius.
All right. That explained it more. Regulus Black hadn't been storming out. The Head of the Black Family had been making a statement. Remus could understand that a little more. He didn't like that it had happened at his son's wedding. But, he didn't have to go after Regulus and try to patch something up or worry his lover wouldn't be in their rooms when Remus could reasonably leave.
Which made it easier to turn to Victoire and smile warmly as she thanked them all for being there. He would speak to Ted in a couple days and explain, see if Ted could explain or even understood. "I think you'd have had a small fight on your hands if you'd tried to do this without us here," he teased his new daughter-in-law gently.
