Victoire was excited. It really was the day she had waited for. In the end it didn't matter that she didn't have the church or all the fancy decorations. She was marrying Teddy and not much else mattered. Her father was there to walk with her, and her sister was by her side. Louis was a groomsman. The only thing truly missing was her mother, and for as much as her aunt had done, nothing could quite fill that spot. It was a day they had dreamed about since Victoire was little, and a day that she had missed.
She wiped a tear out of her eye and looked at her father, taking his arm. "Are you ready Dad?" she said, putting a smile back on her face. "You aren't going to refuse at the last minute?" She had to tease him a little bit.
