"I'll try not to put you in that position again." Charlie seemed to lose his head quickly around his family, especially when they were acting like a bunch of stubborn arses. "You can be the mean one from here on out." He promised Callum.
He smirked and nodded. "It's still a little strange, and I have an inkling that there are even a few people in the family who aren't exactly thrilled with the idea of that sort of thing, but it's marriage, and marriage is what we do." He shrugged, his family had been after him for years about getting married, which was part of the reason he never really did relationships, as soon as he brought even a friend to the house their mother had started asking him about when he planned to settle down.
"It seems my family tends to do that to me." Charlie gave Callum a slight grin, he'd certainly been more relaxed before everyone showed up.
Charlie nodded, he knew Bill didn't exactly mean to get him so worked up, but was it really too much to ask for just a modicum of responsibility from the person who was supposed to be his older brother? "Well I don't think I'll kill any of them if I go to the wedding, if that's what you mean." He'd have a little time to cool off from all of that, and Victoire would want him there of course - or if not his niece than he'd get an earful from Bill if he didn't show up. "None of them even took a second to think about what they were doing tonight." And that was what had irritated Charlie the most, well that and then their refusal to leave when it was more than apparent they weren't wanted.
