Charlie was in a dour mood when it became clear that the camp was safe for the time being, he was still thinking about murdering every single person who had come into camp that night, but the need to do it immediately had lessened just a bit - he could still kill them after Vic's wedding.
At least their kids had gotten out of dodge quickly enough when they were told, not that it would save them from the drills Charlie and Callum would put them through the next day, rain or not. He'd checked with the dragons briefly just to make sure they were fine, he didn't want to leave Baron out there without help if he needed it after all - not that he didn't think the young man wouldn't come and get them, but it gave Charlie an excuse to get away for just a few minutes before he went to the tent he shared with Callum.
"Oh there was never any doubt about their insanity." He assured Callum shaking his head as he pulling on his clothes for the night. That much Charlie had been certain of for years, but the level of insanity displayed tonight surpassed most that he'd seen over the years.
"Our wedding." Charlie clarified, surprised that Callum hadn't gotten that, but he didn't blame him really, it was likely only years of practice that allowed Charlie to understand his family. "The cat's out of the bag, and apparently they know we're getting married." Charlie shrugged, how that had happened he had no idea, but they had gotten it in their head that Charlie was giving up the single life. "They were here to congratulate the pair of us."
