"In same cases, yes, but look at the marriage laws. They didn't divorce us, they annulled the marriages and that has severe repercussions that will have to be solved," she said. "For example, look at us. Even if Ron and I get married again, the children are legally born out of wedlock. He has no right over them. Hugo and Rose are Grangers. If something happens to them, Ron has no right to see them. Inheritance laws will prevent them inherit anything, not that I'm worry about the money or our family, but think about other families. One can get married with someone else now, and the children from his first, annulled marriage would get nothing. Look at Samuel, he's legally not a Longbottom. Nothing from the family, nothing in trust can go to him. I can come up with plenty of examples."
She nodded. "We'll have to. We can't go on like this, but maybe it's time to fix more than the annulled marriage. We have no laws to protect unmarried couple. We tell people get married or you have no rights. None. Their children have no protection. It's barbaric, considering that the Muggle world has solved this decades ago."
